    Hi guys,

now i know that a lot of you have perpetual calendars and Big Pilots (envy mode ON :) ) and therefore IWC deployment buckles. Well I need your help.
I have a Vintage Aquatimer, and i like it on it's default tropic strap, but i would like to get something like kevlar strap, like on the IWC TOP Gun models.

Now, on Pilot's watches there is a "reversed strap", where the shorter end is on 6h position, and longer end on it's opposite side. I like it on Pilots watches, but on a diver it wouldn't look as good. So i found the exact same strap material, but in regular size (125/85). The thing is, i would like to pair it with a standard IWC buckle, but would that be even possible since the buckle is designed to be worn with the "reversed strap design"? I hope that you get what i'm trying to ask :)

    Thx!

Wow. What an excellent photo that captures the stunning VC Aquatimer. I really think that is my favorite of the "Vintage Collection" series. The "typeface" of the numerals on the rotating bezel evokes the "space age" of the 1960s which I love. Makes me think of "Galaga", my favorite classic Video arcade game.

I am unclear what your question is.... I think the buckle works in any configuration.

Hi, love that picture indeed, fantastic watch!

With regard to your question: I don't have a definite answer but:
1- in the past there were no 'special' BD (buckle) straps with a shorter end, and I often put a deployment buckle on normal straps, which worked fine.
2- there are quite some people who reverse the sides of the strap (and with that the dep.buckle) because they feel it 'fits'/'sits' better on the (curve of) their wrist.

I.e., you'll have to try it out!

    Best regards,

    Bob

Tnx Bob, I think i should just try it and see if it works. OEM rubber is great for summer, but i neet something with deployment, i just like the looks.

And thank you both for the comment regaring the picture. Glad you like it. Here is one more, with bokeah overdose :)
