Question about IWC Portugieser Chrono

    Hi everyone,

    First post and new 3714 owner!

    I am really curious about the production year of my 3714 but dateyouriwc wasn't working for me. My serial number is 3688504. Can someone elucidate me on the production year of my watch?

    I am also curious about which movement I have: the 79240 or 79350?

    A Serial Number 368xxxx would indicate a production year of approximately 2012 or 2013. 
    Do you have a warranty card stamped with year of sale?

    The Date Your IWC App only works with serial numbers more than 10 years old

    79350 replaced 79240 in 2007

    Thanks Mark, that would make much sense!

    I have the 371417 but the crown is the new Probus crown and the dial is the same dial as the 371446 (unlike the old 371417s with the fish crown and embossed numerals). The font on the caseback is the thick font (new ones have the thin Serif font and a dot on both sides of the serial number).
