    Dear IWC owners,

I have just bought the 503502(Annual Calendar) early this month and last night was the first end of a month with 30 days I spent with the new watch. So I paid extra attention at how it will switch to the first day of the next month skipping the 31th day. However it didn't work as I expected, it switched to Sep 31 at midnight. So I pulled out the crown to manually advance the time to see how exactly it works. To my surprise, it switched twice during 9 pm and 12 am of Sep 31 (from 31 all the way to 2) instead of Sep 30. I thought that was very weird, and since it has already gone pass the correct date, figured I might as well check if every 30-day month works that way. Then I noticed that November worked as I imagined, how it switched twice during the 30th day instead of the 31th day, and so did every other months. So then I adjusted the date all the way back to September again to see if September was the only month that switches twice on the 31th. But that wasn't the case, it was working correctly again! Switched twice on the 30th day of the month.

I thought that was very weird and was wondering if anyone who owns the 5035 had the same experience? Since it's working correctly now should I still get my watch checked? Any input would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!

    First off... congrats. Great watch.

You need to be patient. NEVER set the date when the watch is near midnight. The manual should outline the danger to the mechanism of attempting to set the date during the hours of 10pm-2am because the day, date, month components are engaged during that time of the day to advance -

On my perpetual calendars, the day, date, month, switching at night can take an hour to happen....
