Hello there everyone.
Lately I see some fantastic Cal 83 watches online. On Instragram, some friends
sharing them and via some dealers (mainly Spain for some reason)
Most of them are in fantastic two-tone dials or stunning gilt dails. And in
rare occasions they have the puncao.
Now I see these watches being listed with some different case styles. Often
refered to as " Hermet" cases. Now I see different style cases being listed as
" Hermet" cases, so my question is basically : " What exactly is a Hermet
case?". Is it just one particular style of case or are there qualifications
set by IWC to name a case a Hermet-style case?
From my understanding, Hermet cases were made in a short period of time. Is
there anyone who knows the exact time-span?
When did IWC started using the Cal 83? Was it a movement originally intended
as a wristwatch movement?
Thanks in advance and don't be shy to share some pictures of your Cal 83
watches!
