Dear all,
I am keen on getting an IWC 329001, the current series of IWC aquatimer diver. However, I understand that the quick strap change system meant that you are only able to use either IWC rubber strap or the steel bracelet. My questions are:
1) Does IWC continue to support and provide the straps for this particular strap change system even after the series has been discontinued. My worry is that the rubber strap breaks and I cannot get one in the future.
2) Are there other available options for the straps for this quick change system other than the IWC rubber strap and steel bracelet.
Appreciate comments and inputs please!
Thanks all!
Hello and welcome to the forum. Your concerns are quite valid so here are my thoughts; get the watch with the bracelet! Now you still will be able to get the rubber straps as IWC will carry the replacements for some time, but there will always be a limit to older replacement parts. I believe NATO straps work and there are people who specialize in aftermarket straps but that beautiful bracelet will last a lifetime.
Thanks for your inputs Ben. I have considered the bracelet as well. It is an option but I think it is best wristed on rubber. The casual chic look of that is most appealing to me. I hope the support for the rubber strap can continue as long as possible, or even fabricate the strap when necessary. Other nato options hopefully can be added in time to come
