I came across this watch in my grandparents house and grandpa said I could have it. I have a feeling looking at it that it might be a fake. I can't seem to find a serial number which is very weird to me.

All it says is IWC Schaffhausen Automatic
Also there is a fish on the winder on the watch

I think this a, reasonably made, fake. The whole watch misses some crispness, the clean, sharp lines. The back of the watch, the rotor of the movement was the deciding factor to me. I hope I am right.

The watch is a fake.
The dial, case and bracelet are reasonably good facsimiles. The movement is not --clearly a fake.
My thoughts exactly - fake but not a terrible fake.

For me, it's more like a charactature than a fake, which is worse, cause they didn't even really try that hard to fake it.
I think it was made for a cartoon show that got canceled after 2 episodes, but thanks for asking. Not everyone has wasted a quarter of their life absorbing the details of Swiss watches, leading me to believe there is still hope for mankind.
