Great looking watch! I just placed an order on the IWC website for this exact time piece. Looking forward to getting it soon and joining the party!
May I ask what the lug to lug dimensions are? My wrist size is about 6.75" and I'm hoping this 41mm won't be too awkward on me.
Watchdroid,
While I do not own the XVIII ceramic , if the dimensions hold true to my 41mm Mark XVII LPP, the lug to lug measurement is 50.5 mm according to my reading. I too have about a 6 3/4" wrist and 50.5 mm pushes the limit for how I view a comfortable fit. It is the only thing that is a negative about my LPP. Personally, I like a balance of case and strap to be seen on my wrist. When the lugs extend to the far edges of the wrist or beyond and the strap cannot or hardly be seen, it creates a visual of a watch to large and a strap that cannot lay down properly to wrap correctly. The space left from the end of the lug to where it finally comes in contact with the wrist IMO actually emphasizes a inproper fit. I find that IWC pilot lugs generally are on the longer side than most brands Pilot offerings. I would feel more inclined to go larger in diameter if IWC would shorten the lugs a tad. Just my two cents.....
Hope the Laureus works as it is a beautiful watch. Let us know how it turns out. Fingers crossed that all goes well for you.
Best,
Andy
