Dear vintage enthusiasts,
just recently i acuired a NOS Ref. 2400. The screwdown caseback steel watch is
from 1977 and comes with an integrated "Milanaise" mesh type bracelet and a
nice blue dial. It is an automatic movement of Cal. 443 with a diameter of
23.40 mm. This is quite a rare breed which i was looking for since quite a
while. Still it is IWC movement that uses the pellaton winding system, it is
derived from the Cal. 442 which is 17.60 mm in diameter.
I bought it for the movement mainly, however it wears very comfortably. The
smaller movement allows a watch that appears to be pretty flat from the side
view, but it has a bulge in the center of the back to give enough height for
the rotor.
Are there any fellow collectors that love the 70tes watches out there?
