    Hey friends,

I purchased my dream watch, a new Portugieser 7 day at IWC NYC a few days ago.
While looking at the watch I noticed a refraction/shadow that I asked the
dealer to look at. The shadow/refraction moved across the face as I moved the
watch. He wiped it and I couldn't see it anymore, and so I bought it. I
checked tonight and I see it again. Strangely, this issue seems to only
happen primarily under flourescent lights. Under natural light I can't really
see it at all, and under incandescent it's very difficult to see but you can.
Has any one else dealt with this issue? Should I return the watch?

    Thanks,

    Chris

it is difficult to say without looking at any pictures. I dont have the same
watch but generally speaking based on lights/surroundings/dial markers/hands
etc, you can have shadows appearing on the dial. As you note they will move
as you change the angle. If there isnt any mark or spot on the dial (which
will not move) or crystal, then I will think there is nothing to worry about.

    Enjoy the watch and congratulations.

Thank you for your thoughtful comment.

It seems unusual to me that it only appears under certain flourescent lights.
Has anyone else experienced this? Is it something in the ceramic that is
creating this very small circle image that moves on the face?
