    Hello,

I've been looking for a nice black dialed iwc dress watch for awhile, and I thought I'd found the perfect caliber 89, but on closer inspection I'm not so sure about the dial. Could any of you kind gentlemen provide an opinion on whether this has been repainted? The font on the IWC logo looks pretty good, but the arabic numerals look a little suspect, opinions?

    Thanks a bunch!

Hello and welcome to the forum.
I tried to post your picture here, but no luck either.
I did a copy/past in my browser and could see the pictures.
I had the same thought about the numerals. But since a lot of different dials were made in that period, I am not sure to say it is a repainted dial.

    Thanks for your response Tonny!

Yes I was having trouble linking pictures in my Google Drive, so I had tried to post just a link to the folder in my drive. However, it is still "awaiting moderation". I will try and post the Google Drive folder link again after this in a separate post.

Any other opinions would be greatly appreciated, I really like the watch but its being sold (and priced) as a fully original watch with untouched dial.

    Thanks,
    Kyle

Anybody else with opinions on this? I really like the watch in general, but I'm afraid that if the dial was repainted it would nag me the whole time I wore it.

Almost certain to be a redial, in my opinion. The crown is also a replacement.

+1. Not a bad job, but I would also assume a reprinted dial.
Overall appearance is just a bit too clean, and logo print is looking a bit "fat".
