Hi, just wanting to know where to source a replacement case back for a MK XVI.
Can I get this direct from IWC? Need it to replace an engraving/inscription
    that is no longer needed.
    Thanks

I believe a visit to an AD will be needed. I believe the old one has to be
    returned.

Thanks for the reply. Will take it into the local boutique when things reopen.

Not certain where you are located, but the boutique in Beverly Hills,
California, USA is open with restricted hours. On Thursday last week I was
able to speak with Haig there about a bracelet. Maybe give your local boutique
a call, or try to arrange something through the Beverly Hills store via post?

I'm in Australia, just called the Sydney boutique and they think they can
help. It's actually a friends watch, has a lovely inscription on the back from
    his now ex-wife.

I do believe that caseback inscriptions can be laserwelded and filled, then
    repolished to almost original condition.

It may have to return to Shaffhausen for this and will be costly.
