    Hello all,

It has been many, many years since I've posted here. It's so great to see some familiar names, like Nelson, Bill, Tony and others!

I attended one of the Collectors' Forum meetings in Schaffhausen in the early 2000's, probably around 2002 I'd venture to say.

Anyway, I am still an avid watch collector and still very fond of IWC. I have the collectors' set of the Jubilee Portuguese in all three metals and the original straps are getting a bit long in the tooth.

What straps have you guys used to replace your Portuguese, assuming I don't necessarily want or need OEM straps? Straps can really make a watch pop, and I am considering doing something outside the usual black and brown, etc. I was thinking about something different for the platinum version which has platinum numerals, maybe even gray alligator?

I would also like to replace the strap on my Ref. 5251 Portofino moon phase. If you have any suggestions, I'm all ears.

Hope to hear from some of you and I'm glad to repost. Feels like I'm coming home to a forum with members I fondly recall!

    All the best,

    Rob

Hello Rob and welcome back, personally I always look for the OEM straps, I know some of the group choese custom made ones, some go by the straps of  the maker Hirsch.

Rob, it's nice to see you again here.  For such a classy watch, I would go with a IWC OEM strap.  I'm sure any boutique could help you with a great choice. Personally, I placed a IWC Santoni on my Jubilee.
