    Hi guys,

Hope this is the section to post this question. I've got an IWC Perpetual Calendar Ref 5032 in blue dial/WG. The bezel of the watch is highly polish and because of the height and size of the watch ( and my clumsiness ), inevitable I occassionally came into contact with hard surfaces at confine spaces. The bezel thus have collected quite a number of tiny chips over time after I have owned the watch for more than a year. Most aren't visible when view casually except when I eye-balled the watch but they are there.

I wonder if I can send it to IWC for a replacement bezel and if so, anyone know what is the cost? Or should I just leave it as it is and only do the replacement when I sent in for a full service after 3 more years?

    Thanks in advance.

    Rgds
    Ben

I suspect it can be repaired rather than replaced. IWC can do a laser treatment to fill voids and polish back to original state. There is a video somewhere on the website somewhere covering this.

Correct, there is a remedy to filling in and polishing dents and deep scratches on the case and bezel.

There is a video that Michael (BP4ME) suggested on the service page. About 42 seconds into the video, they demonstrate the laser treatment and filling in a major dent in the case.

Also, if I recall the 5032 does not have a separate bezel. The entire top of the case would need to be replaced, which is very costly (and unneeded given the laser treatment).

Thanks. Any idea what will be the cost to repair the bezel?
