Hi All,
I've been thinking about buying the Big Pilot Top Gun Perpetual Calendar for sometime now. I've been told by a few people not to do so right now as the line is going to be refreshed soon.
Anyone have any thoughts on this? Do you recommend I buy it now or wait for a bit. Obviously it's an expensive watch so I want to make sure I do all my due diligence before hand.

I don't think of a watch purchase like a car where the latest technology makes the older generation somewhat undesirable and it loses a significant portion of its value as soon as you drive it off the lot. I still get compliments about watches I bought 10 years ago and they grow on me with time. Moreover, you never know when a beautiful piece might get discontinued altogether.
If you like it, buy it. There's always going to be something "bigger" and "better". Besides, it's just a great watch.
I don't think there's a wrong time to buy one as long as you have the means and accessibility. I may also be biased.
Keep in mind that they've recently been discontinued so if you were hoping to find one new, you may be in for a bit of a hunt.
Kurt Klaus' perpetual calendar hasn't really changed since it's inception so really the question should be is if it's the right time for you.
