I bought a IWC watch recently and was completely down after 2 month usage. A full mechanism replacement is offerred by the SC and obviously i rejected this. I requested for a new replacement or upgrade but seem like IWC are firm on their non-replacement policy after sales. This is probably the worse experience in my watch collection, as compared to a similar case i encountered a year ago with a comparable brand who replaced it without any hesitation.

Can IWC explained thier after sales policy clearly in my scenerio and should the consumer bear the risk in purchasing a faulty product, if proven so?

Again IWC called and insisted on their decision that no full replacement can be made. The reason is there are some minor scratches on the case itself. Well, seem like IWC are not aware that it not the case that bother me, rather is the mechanism or QC is the problem. Seriously, for the price i am paying for - how much the stainless steel case worth? Being a collector myself, it the mechanism/ movement i am willing to pay a high price for. So if mechanism failed to perform despite less than 2 months of normal usage, who should be liable? Should i suggest 2 month warranty policy for IWC in the future?

I'm gennely sorry you're having such problems and hope that you can resolve matters shortly and well.

We're not able to evaluate mechanical problems, etc. electronically. It's one reason that service problems aren't generally forum topics. When you signed up yesterday, the terms and conditions of the forum included the following: "Personal issues relating to watch purchases and service transactions should also be resolved privately and must not be aired on the forum for redress or publicity relating to such disputes."

As such, I must ask you to take this offline and that there be no follow-up posts. Again, I hope your issues are resolved.

    Thanks.
