    Hi everyone,

I have noticed this almost clicking noise that seems to occur when the self winding rotor spins past the same point on the watch. I asked IWC directly and they said that it was not normal and to send it in for them to have a look, which I did. But it was then returned exactly the same as it was before. So does anyone know what I can do from here? It is still under warranty at the moment, so ideally it can be fixed under that.

This is on an IWC Portugieser Chronograph ref: 371604.

I have a video showing the issue, but I am not sure how I can upload it onto this forum.

    All the best,

    Hugh

    Hi Hugh

All automatic winding watches have a kind of clutch to prevent the spinning rotor from overwinding the watch.

This CLICK that you are describing, may be the clutch operating.

But diagnosis of your exact condition is impossible without experiencing.
Let a watchmaker listen to it and give an opinion.
