    Hi all,

I have a question regarding my IWC Cal 89.
I've seen many Cal 89 and i can't seem to find a fine example similar to mine.
Mine has the Case number and Type of gold engrave outside on the back case. Inside the back case its also signed. Anyone has any idea? Thank you in advance.

Never seen this before. Maybe some sort of engraving on a then prototype?

Either way looks like a unique and nice timepiece..... can we see the front end side?

    Please.

Thanks! I can't seem to find an answer to this mystery. I browse through a lot of Cal 89 photos and yet to find a similar example of it.

    Regards
    Sam

    Hi Bill,

Possible. Can't rule out this as well. The engraving seems like a stamp.
Still remains a mystery to me.

Thanks for the pic Sktan...Swiss it is then, bit of an odd-one i'm afraid i've no ready answer, the 18kt i could posssibly half understand with the watch being manafactured close-enough to gold content becoming enough of a marker to announce but the serial number being replicated on both sides is odd and suggests non factory..
