Hello, The watch is running about a minute or 2 slow and the crystal pops off.
I really love this watch. Would it be worth and even possilbe to have fixed
up with oringal IWC parts? What should I do? Thanks.

    Hi Petepugli,

sure get it cleaned and a new crystal applied. This is a high quality watch
that should be kept in good shape. It will serve you for another 50 years.

    Hi Peter,

an IWC service will be perfect but quite costly. If it is a cleaning and a new
crystal only, i would try an independent watchmaker also. From looking at the
watch only i would put it to the late fifties of the last century. Try to get
it fixed soon, since a badly fitted crystal is an entrypoint of humidity which
can damage the dial and the movement. If you gibe it to a Watchmaker (maybe a
fellow IWC collector forum from the USA can help you) let him look after the
movement number that would allow a better determination of the manufacturing
    date.
