    Hello All,

I've been thoroughly enjoying my recent IWC purchases and I've come across a situation that I would like some advice or input on from fellow collectors.

Since I've started collecting IWC watches this year, the one new model that I've been after is the the 150 Years Jubilee Pilot Chronograph with the blue hands and white lacquer dial. It's basically sold out in North America and there's a waitlist at most boutiques. Most of the ADs only received one piece and they were already spoken for before delivery.

I've chased this piece in Asia with the help of some friends and family, only to be told that there is also a waitlist.

Recently on another watch brand forum, a well known and respected 3rd party vendor posted a 150 Years Pilot Chrono for sale, complete box and papers, unworn. The only cavaet is knowing the current market, the vendor marked up the price several hundred dollars over the list price.

So I've been kicking around the idea of purchasing the above so I don't miss the opportunity. That said, my local IWC boutique is working hard to try and locate one for me, though it might take some time and also knowing it may not happen at all. I prefer to give IWC my business directly as the boutique has treated me very well but dare I say this is a bit of grail for me?

Should I buy or should I wait?

Ricky - (I guess these are good problems to have, HA!)

Of course I cannot take that decision for you.
That said I guess I wouldn't do it because I don't like people getting things from the market just to make money.

    Greetings Ricky,

May I ask, without naming the respected 3rd party vendor,  be located in Boston ?

Thanks Tilo and you make a very good point. I also am not a fan of when flippers do that but here I am with this "opportunity" so I'll just have to weigh the pros and cons.

Thanks for sharing your experience Andy. I was thinking similarly that once all the dust settles, it will eventually become available, even on the secondary market and prices will fall back to reality. I don't own a Pilot Chrono, so would be very happy if this was my first and only one, hence my initial anxiousness.

Thanks but I'm in New York City and it's sold out in North America. For the boutique here to get it, it would need to go back to Switzerland and then to NYC. Not to say it can't happen, but would take a lot of time provided the KL boutique is wiling to give it up.
