Sunbursts belong to the sun. I miss it a little bit these days.

Great shots, and pocket watches are first in everything...!!
I had to add another photo because it is just so pretty...
That'r really pretty, Ben
Jarrod - I love the palm tree reflections on your blue beauty in this shot, very nice mate :-)
My two
I really love this BP and wonder why I don't see it mentioned more or shown on here when people show their collections. I have been looking for this timepiece and recently found a pre-owned one in new condition at a reputable AD. Does anyone have any comments on it? I have the BPPP and it is my favorite. Obviously, because it is new and gorgeous it is all over the forum, but what about this BP?
it is the old St. Exupery Big Pilot (Stainless Steel). Model number: IW500422.
The latest Le Petit Prince Big Pilot (Stainless Steel, blue dial) is its distant cousin... a recent "replica" of the St. Expuery if you will, with a slightly new movement and without the "A." logo on the dial.
Thank you for the reply Kelvin. It take it you are happy with the timepiece. I like it very much and I am still debating buying one. I do have the LPP BP already and I think it is exceptional, a piece of art. I am waiting for the new Patrouille Swiss BP that I ordered to arrive. It also has a sunburst type dial.
hi new to forum and happy to be here--on spitfire chrono 3878-02 I'm wondering if IWC has BOTH a sunburst ardoise dial AS WELL AS a NON-sunburst ardoise dial? I ask because I just viewed one at Tourneau and all seemed fine at first but when looking further (and the rep agreed with me), the dial did NOT have the sunburst pattern. That is why I wonder if the model was made with BOTH options. personally, I ONLY want the sunburst effect if there is a choice. Needless to say, that was a dealbreaker for me at Tourneau. Thank you for any input on this!

This one gets a lot of wrist time too:

I hadn't seen that one on a wrist before - that's one beautiful Aquatimer!
I think that those are two of the most beautiful Ardoise watches IWC has ever made.
If I'm correct the Aquatimer Cousteau Chrono 2010 ref. 376706 was the first modern IWC with ardoise dial and non-precious metal case. A beauty. (Right in the middle.) Enjoy!
