Hello Ingenieur Collectors,
The engineer is just a classic, a must have in a great collection of IWC.
I'm currently studying on whether I should add the 3227 or 5005 to my vintage Laureus ;-) Kind regards, Daniel

I have loved this thread for months - and now I can finally participate :o)
Apart from Alan's on page 1 which is the "negative" or opposite color scheme of mine I don't think this one has been shown before here. I guess a picture says more than a thousand words so here is my third IWC - a gift to myself for starting my new job as Manager Engineering & Marketing could not be anything but an Ingenieur!!!
Ken Noguchi Inge today:
I have not seen another one like this on the Forum. And there are not many left since the new ones have same color sub dials.
But I love that watch. I almost got one several times except I fell in love with the platinum white dial and was fortunate to get the white dial DFB. I have Oliver to thank for that.
Alan - R-E-S-P-E-C-T to your platinum, we may have the coolest inges here - or we may just have a weird taste - LOL!!!
I think you are right on both counts. At SIHH in 2010 everyone else was drooling over all the new pieces (me included) but at first I was over on the side examining the DFB Ingy Oliver had sequestered for me and taking all type of pictures of it. I could not understand why no one else cared.... But 10 minutes later my AD had my order via email. LOL
new photos :)
Here is my favorite:
Ingenieur with perpetual calendar and moon phase display
The calendar mechanism is the same that used in "Da Vinci" models:
12,5 ligne automatic movement. calibre 374-7
....and here are two classic "Ingenieur" watches:
The Ingenieur watch are the most beautiful watch of the world!
