SC - incredible photos. Thank you for sharing the experience. How does it make you feel, while wearing it? The Champagne is worthy of the celebration of just being near that timepiece.

Looks like the sky chart is set for the location of the factory in Schaffhausen...

Just to clarify --the watch here is a sample. There are three that have been made as samples. They are not for sale and they will not have permanent homes at any boutique either for display or sale.

The Siderale is made only to order, with a star chart based on the owner's location and custom details also specified. There is a wait of 12-18 months for one, and none will be for immediate sale.

I heard it would take IWC 12 months just to make ONE of these watches.

As to the sky chart... I think if one were to order it (and wait 12 months), one could request which location of sky chart to use.

Yes and no. If you were to place an order today, it will take 12 months or slightly longer to receive your watch. Due to current orders it might even be 18 months.

BUT that's different from how long it takes. IWC will produce 8-10 probably in the next 12 months, using one watchmaker.

Thanks for the correction, Michael! I actually heard that statement from an IWC staff in APAC... anyway, I am glad that is not the case.

Nevertheless, it means little to me, as I probably will NEVER get to own one... :-P
