Hello Forum members! Today, the chemist in me was revived whe we received a present (Ice cake, if that's the word in English) shipped in a box with solid CO2 to keep it frozen.
Unfortunately, we didn't have any acetone, but the effect with water was not too bad, it just lasts shorter.
One of my colleagues wanted me to put the watch in the glass but I am not mad, even though my pictures might suggest otherwise :-)
With a digital thermometer, we determined that the temperature in the box was minus 47.5 degrees Celcius.
Later that day, well after the experiment a client came by and he was wearing a Ingenieur 3227 AMG in Titanium. Unfortunately, I was in another meeting and I was only able to speak to him for two minutes. I would have loved to take a few shots of the two watches togeter. Maybe next time!
Kind regards,
Clemens
