What a family we belong to and have become
Great interview, I remember Bas posting AT pictures from Kilimanjaro but
didn't know he'd been to the top of Mount Everest - very impressive Bas
Skule
Hi Skule,
For the record, I did not summit Mt. Everest ,
(I like my tows and fingers to much, and had to make my wife a promise) but
did go as far as beyond the khumbu icefall and turned arround at 6400mt.
Some years ago I did climb Elbrus in the Russian Caucasus. At 5642m,
Elbrus and its double-coned volcano is 832m higher than Western Europe's
highest mountain, the Mont Blanc (wich I ones summitted too). It's a
certified member of the 'seven summits' - the highest point on every continent
- hence my effort to climb some of them.
I would
recomment everyone to undertake such a "live changing expedition" If not all,
then at least one(!)
Despite there formidable stature, nearly all of the Sven summits can be
climbed by most, but it doesn't come without challenge or commitment.
go for It. I'm going to the Andes (Peru) 4 weeks in september and will climb
the vulcano Salkantay 6.271 mtr. And hike (together with some friends)
back the first Inca trail.
when we arrive at Cusco again, we will return to take some pics of Machu
Picchu (since we 're there)
life is too short to waste.
cheers
better one AT the wrist, then 15 in the safe

wear it (and dive with it) in good health !
cheers mate.

Still very impressive Bas!
You'll love Machu Picchu :-). And you're right, life is an adventure so go
ahead and treat it that way.
Skule
Great interview - I admire your commitment to one line Bas (something I find
too hard to do!) and your positivity with pursuing adventurous and challenging
life experiences!
Looking forward to meeting you one day!
Anthony
