Here's the first public information on distribution of the book "IWC. Engineering Time since 1868".

    It's approximately 550 pages with 500 images. It weighs a hefty 4.5 kg and is a large 24.2 x 34.2 mm....it is HUGE!

It'll be available and shipped starting at the end of April/beginning
    of May 2010.

It'll cost in bookstores CHF 250.00 (converted into specific
currencies of each country). It'll also be available in Boutiques and some IWC "shop in shops", as well as the museum in Schaffhausen

The book itself will be available in bookstores throughout the world. There are different publishers depending on language/markets:

    German: Benteli Verlags AG
English (except US): Thames and Hudson
    US-market: Collectors Club
    French version: Interart

    The English ISBN is 978-3-7165-1631-7

The book is, or shortly will be, available for advance orders at:
www.benteli.ch or www.books.ch or www.amazon.de or on IWC's homepage. I have not yet checked about www.amazon.com

There will be much more coverage regarding the book later on this website (including podcasts), in Watch International, etc.

    Regards,
    Michael

Used Google translate to navigate through...

the process. Worked for me, and I can only order beer in German. ,-))

    Thank you !

It's what I've done with another translator, but it is a bit tiresome.

    Thanks very much Michael...

I am certainly considering getting one, just not sure what language yet. Since it's an international work, I am considering English but I wonder if many of the original text was German...

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

Now that's a good idea, my kind of thinking

An alternative is to win it as a price here at the forum: a contest is overdue. Another idea is to wait and see how well it sells.

    Kind regards,

    I wouldn't like to be in Michael's

position, shipping these books may be a very hard thing to do Paul. LOL
