Interesting article, nice to see the different watches around Saint Exupéry mentioned at one place. I have two of them, the first Saint Exupéry Chrono in rose gold, and the latest Mark XVIII Le Petit Prince. There is one special watch that I regret not having bought at the time, the Mark XVI Saint Exupéry with that special placed power reserve indicator.

By the way: I don't quite agree with the statement of Georges Kern, at least it is not applicable to me. I never have bought a watch because it inspired me or told a story, I am too matter-of-fact for such an argument. Neither did I buy a watch because it was telling time, that is too evident to me. I bought all my watches because they intrigued me no end, foremost because of their looks, with the precondition of their technical prowess. That was also true for my latest acquisition, the Mark XVIII Le Petit Prince, that just looked fantastic to me, and I didn't yet have a 30110 movement, so that gap was filled too.

    Kind regards,
    Paul

Great article, MF. It is an enjoyable and informative article for those of us into trying to archive the history and tardiness of the IWC watches. The article is permanently bookmarked for me.

    thanks, Tonny!

Not sure if you just want to set up a page for quick references to MF's articles, but there are certainly many more IWC collectors being interviewed before.

    For instance, these:
    Alan Myers
    SC Fong
    Arsène Wenger
    etc., etc.

It may be nice to provide quick links to these as well, although they were not written by MF.

    Just a suggestion only.
