this month was a busy month for my postman, a few pocketwatches arrived on my doorstep.
All 4 different, but all with a good reason to be bought and to be added to the collection.
First came a nice cal 73. Reason to buy it ? I love a the cal 73 and the art deco and empire style cases from that era. This one came with box and papers in very good condition, so I couldn't resist ;)

The watch is from 1924.
The second one that arrived was a "simple" cal 52 from 1898, with a dial in very good condition, a silver case. I have some other early c52 in my collection, so why going after this one ?
Well, the case is special, a special addition was made to the case, the emblem of the 4th regiment cavalry in the Italian army dated 1989.
The typical helmet is executed in silver and gold.

The 3th one is a nice cal 57 with a 14 gold case and a perfect dial. That alone could be the reason to buy this one, but the inner cover is the one with the medaillons on it.

The last one is a more recent pocketwatch, it was sold June 24th 1982 in Schaffhausen. It is one of the 49 ref 5409 in silver that were made.
The case is not that special, a big ( 55 mm ) nice case with a special pusher mechanism : push once and the front cover opens to show a classic dial, push another time and the back cover reveals the true beauty of the watch ; a decorated cal 9820.
