I got a call last week from my AD that two new models arrived at his shop. For
me that is just like hitting the startbutton of my car, instant reaction ;)
So 30 minutes later I was at his place to have a look at the Timezoner Petit
Prince and the Portugieser YC Moon&Tide.
The last one was not the one I expected to be appealing to me from what I saw
from the renderings on the net. But how wrong I was, this is "in the flesh" so
much better looking. The combination of the 18ct 5N gold with the bkue dial is
amazing. And IWC is still the company with the best looking blue dials around.
The case is 44,6 mm and a good fit to the wrist.
The big difference from the pictures is for me the inner bezel, On some
pictures I thought it made the watch let's say not elegant, but when you see
it live, it works very well and adds to the beauty of the watch. I hope my
pictures can capture it well.
It is an unique complication, not a cheap watch, I heard people saying that
for a few K more you can get a perpetual... That is true, but I think the ones
having an eye on this one, or already have a perpetual , or are looking for
that specific complication of the Moon&Tide, combined with the moonphase.
As I love the blue dials, so I like the Timezoner Petit Prince, I love the
applied numerals like in the first BP Petit Prince.
And I bought some new shoes for the Portugieser Monopusher, Laureus
