Sooo Tempted!

I thought when I bought my "Pair of Pilots" last Fall before the Collectors Meeting in Schaffhausen, I would make it through 2015 without another purchase.

All was going according to plan, until.....

sigh. A fellow I know is selling a watch not often seen in the aftermarket. I loved it when it came out but I resisted. I think I can still resist, but it sure is hard. A look in the watch box shows I am underrepresented in light dial watches. And I've been good all year. And Christmas is coming, right?

So here is the object of my (current) affection, in a photo originally posted by MF, although he is not the owner or the person selling the watch. Yes, it's the Ingenieur "Tribute to Italy", from a Limited Edition of 150.

Maybe if I keep staring at it, I'll remember that a date wheel which neither matches nor contrasts with the dial color bothers me? Maybe?

Sigh. Just sigh.

I don't blame you. I'm a big fan of this model and particularly the unique colour scheme... I know Andrew and Marian would highly approve too!

It's a spectacular pice Dick and I feel the pain of missing out on this one will be far more severe than the minor irritation of the non matching date wheel!!

Dick, I saw this one for sale and nearly had an "accident." If the funds were in hand, I would make it miiiiiine! Okay, that's a little over the top but it is one of my favorite LE Ingenieurs. I would feel good knowing it was owned by you!

Actually I wearing it today, right as I type this. There is nothing like not matching colors. For me it's perfectly OK.

This model is one of the best. I saw one on wrist and it is a true beauty. Go for it.
