    Dear Forumers,

on a well konwn online auction platform i stumbeled across a watch that look
very familiar with the IWC Ref. 3700, but in detail it has some remarkable

changes. There is no IWC on the dial nor on the caseback, the font used on
dial and on the date ring is the typical porsche design font. Although there
is th e "Titan" engraving on the lugs, the bracelet is totally different from
all the ones used by IWC. The caseback shows taht this is a special edition by
Porsche Design limited to 911 Pcs. is there any knowledge about this model in
    the forum crowd ?

The watch you show was not manufactured by IWC.

Porsche Design and IWC entered into a formal partnership in 1977 for a twenty
year period. The Titan chronograph manufactured by IWC was first sold in 1980,
first delivered in 1981, and last manufactured around 1996 or 1997. The
partnership between IWC and Porsche Design ended in 1997. IWC introduced the
GST line of watches in place of the Porsche Design models, and Porsche Design
(the company) purchased the Eterna watch company to manufacture their designs.

I'm not certain if the watch you discovered is referred to as being
manufactured by Porsche Design or Eterna, but it was not made by IWC.

On a personal note, I am delighted to discuss the IWC Titan because it is my
favorite watch of all time! Thanks for the opportunity. :)
