When you acquire your grail watch, it's easy to forget the other watches in the collection. So today, I decided to wear the (also rather new to me) Spitfire Pilot UTC. The weather was great so I went outside to get a few pictures. The watch has a lovely dial and the Super Luminova charges very fast in the sunlight, which clearly shows in the shots below:

I have seen ones like yours with the UTC window on the top but there are ones with the UTC window below. Is one of them an older model? The upper window to me is nicer, which years were they available?

Hi,
This model with the UTC window in the upper half was released in 2003 and was available for 3 years. After that, the model with the UTC window in the bottom half was produced. I believe it was in production for 4 to 6 years but I could be off a year.
I also believe the original Pilot's watch UTC was released earier, but with a different dial (not the Spitfire version).

A beautiful watch and some fine photos of it. The Spitfire UTC seems to be pretty uncommon but, to me at least, very desirable.
