    Hi,
I am trying to fit an OEM bracelet on to my Mark XVIII. It appears that the springbar needs to be extra thin. Can someone please confirm the necessary diameter (ie. 1.5mm, 1.0mm etc). Maybe also confirm the length too.

    Thanks

    Steve

Steve, Sadly I cant advise on that and probably you will need to wait for either Jack (USA) or Leo (UK) our two registered IWC watchmakers to answer that one. However, I do want to award you the "Sleeper of the Century" award for lurking here for that long with Just a single postvak your name. Thats impressive - but having said that there was clearly something that attracted You here on the 1st place, as is your challenge now with your MK XVIII.

Pray kind Sir, do tell / share Some of your IWC journey over the years here as surely that MKVIII is not your first!

.. and of course, photos welcome.

Actually, I was Just about to take off my bracelet to measure it when I realised that its an excercise in futility - given that my strap is genuine IWC and yours may not be?

While the lug sizes are the same, most definately the springbar holes in the bracelets metal ends differ in diameter from oem to oem to replacement / aftermarket bracelet manufactures individual bracelets?

    A few pics.

My dilemma. Existing springbars from leather band are short and fat and do not fit through.

Edit: 20mm x 1.5mm springbars appear to fit.
