Strap Recommendations for a 3714 Portuguese

Hi, I'm new here. I received my first IWC in 2010 as a 40th Birthday present.
I am very OCD on how I care for my things, but I had very bad luck with my
3714 Portuguese...short story, which I won't bug you with. I traded it off as
soon as the chrono buttons began to fall off without warning.

I missed not having it, so I just bought a pre-owned 3714 Portuguese from a
close friend. It was beautifully serviced and it looks and runs perfectly. I
bought it with no strap though.

The factory strap seemed to wear quickly. Does anyone have a recommendation
for a strap similar to the OEM alligator strap?

My wife and I share 3714 and I purchased a Black Santoni for it. It looks
great and is wearing very well.

My 2010 had a black alligator strap, but my friend said his, from 2002, had an
antique brown alligator strap.

I was thinking that I did not want to spend the Santoni money for one, but it
might be worth it.

I bought the strap from the Boutique. They also have a fantastic selection of
straps to choose from.

Give a try with the IWC mesh. Unfortunately the 3714 is not available with the
mesh from factory but there are a few photos available and it seems to be very
nice. Not authentic from the IWC standpoint though. Just my two cents of
course.
