Well, this is my first post here. It’s good to know there is a place to share our passion and questions about this great brand. My humble collection of IWC had grown.

I started with the Spitfire Chronograph. This is how it looks after two years of daily use:

    i484.photobucket.com/albums/rr210/Mat-Vill/iwc-1.jpg

Such an elegant and solid piece of steel that I can use in any occasion.

Some days ago I’ve got my second piece a 5001:

    i484.photobucket.com/albums/rr210/Mat-Vill/w4.jpg
    i484.photobucket.com/albums/rr210/Mat-Vill/w7.jpg

    i484.photobucket.com/albums/rr210/Mat-Vill/w12.jpg

I am so happy with these watch. It’s simple and beautiful , a master piece! In despite of my thin wrist I love big watches.

So, one thing I’ve got to solve before purchase my 5001 was the strap issue. I have a thin wrist and the original single deployment and straps was made for a really big size. My AD gave me a simple –not too glamorous- strap that is ok, but I want to look for other options in IWC original accessories and in after market high quality material.

So, I would appreciate some recommendations and photos about a good pair of straps appropriate for a small wrist -with a simple buckle that I always prefer- to put on my Portuguese.

    Cheers,
    M

    A short strap I have

    Hi Mateo,

For me, the regular strap is a bit too long also. For summertime, I have this short version in tan brown and I am very happy with it.

I will send you some details by mail.

    Kind regards,

I like that brown strap on the 5001...

I think I am going to get one to go with my 5001.

    Straps for 5001

    Hi Mateo !

You have great taste, as I own precisely the same watches, my Spitfire being with a bracelet, but I'm thinking to change for that black croco. I replaced the previous strap of my Portuguese in last September with a "short" brown strap that I've order at my AD. It's 100% IWC. The bottom strap is about 40mm long, as the upper is about 125mm long. It fits perfectly on my small wrist, more confortably than the previous one.

    Regards,
    Jean
