    Hi!

Slowly it's getting quite hot in Pescara (IT), where I study. I don't want to ruin my IWC strap, so I searched for an alternative. First tried some of my NATO's, but they were ruining the look of the watch. After some searching on the web I found an pretty "old school" solution. Perlon! Another blue one is incoming.

How do you wear your IWC's (which are normally on leather) in summertime?

    Hello Staudt,

Most will probably say that a bracelet is the ideal for heat and humidity conditions. However if a strap look is preferable, I have some real nice croc straps that have a rubber lining that provide a moisture barrier during the summer season. It works out well.

    Regards,

    Andy

I've got the Milanese Mesh for the summers and love it. It also offers a sporty look to it, which suits summer attire.

That Perlon strap looks perfect on Your Portofino.
On hot days, I usually wear a watch with bracelet, but now I wonder if I should experiment with a Perlon strap on my 5454 Portuguese HW...

    Hi Todd,

Could you post a picture, a wrist shot, of your watch on the mesh bracelet? That would be much appreciated, thank you!

    Kind regards,
    Paul

Thank you, this combination looks really great and relaxed for summer days. Nothing beats wrist shots to appreciate this, except seeing the watch on your own wrist.

    Kind regards,
    Paul
