    Dear all,

I am interested in Portugieser 7days. But I have a slim wrist (wrist circumference around 16cm :( ). Is it too large for me?

    Thanks all!

I think my Portuguese 7day looks awesome on my 6in (15cm) wrist. Definetely not too big

If the wrist is flat on top it might be OK, if it is round the watch might be too big. You can check: when there are significant air holes under the lugs, indicating that the lugs stick out, then the watch is too big. But some like to wear oversized watches.

    Kind regards,
    Paul

I've got a slim 15.5-16.0 cm wrist myself. But it's not just the total size, it's how much it's distributed between the top and sides (as Paul was intimating).

The key point is for you to test the watch, take some photos. See how self-conscious you are. See how it feels. Bring a good friend along to get their view. It also has a bit to do with body shape, if you are very lean than a large watch also looks larger.

Yes in some cases watches can look 'wrong' and simply too big - but I often see it more as a personal state of mind. A confidence in your own ability to wear it. Despite my slim wrists I only wear Big Pilots and other large models - sure, some people might think things look too large on me but I could care less. I love and enjoy wearing it big...

    Good luck,
    Thang

You have chosen an amazing watch, that's a great start already! Make sure it fits under the cuff, that can be a bit of a problem. Big watches are not a problem in general, the most important thing is that you feel happy and comfortable wearing it.

May I ask what color combination you are looking at? I still miss my white dial blue hand 500107 sometimes.

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

Thanks everyone! I am happy to see there are so many people to help here:D:D:D

Thang gave me another angle to think about what "suitability" means. Thanks!

Clemens, I am looking at 500705, also the one with white dial blue hand ;)

    Regards,

    Chan
