I do enjoy changing the straps and bracelets on my IWCs to give a different look. I think there may be a few forum members here who are of like mind : ) So I thought a thread showing your favorite summer combination would be fun as we are now in the heart and heat of summer. Cheers!

Wow, very unorthodox for a BP, but that works in a good way!

    Nicely done!

Great combination BP with light brown strap!
Wherever I go with the orange strap on the AT heads turn.
Have not seen it on another wrist yet (THXs AD ☺)

After reading these posts, I decided to put the Pisa Portuguese Perpetual Calendar on a tan brown croco strap. What do you think of this combination?

It is a nice change of pace but the original strap makes that dial just POP!

the straps, watches & background - and possibly the unbearable heat in HK - is making this post a real summery one :)

still this one for me summer today, can't take it off.

perhaps i spoke too soon - typhoon Vicente seems bent on coming to HK :(

    Hi Shing,

Is that the Aqua Luna sail that I see behind you?

Apparently the typhoon is very bad, my Mother-in-Law just arrived and her plane even had to land in Macau and wait for a few hours.

Please keep your BP (and yourself) away from Vicente!

    Hi Alan,

I agree with you. This tan brow strap works better on the white dial blue hands 5001. I gess it's because that dial is less busy. On the Perpetual there is more going on and the moonphase doesn't match the strap color.

I will leave it on this strap for a while and see what I think about it in a week or so. Today I am wearing this combo with a dark blue shirt and that does look good! I will try to take a picture later this evening.

    Kind regards,

    Clemens

Well, that combination looks terrific. Strap absolutely matches the dial indices and hands. A winner.

    Enjoy.

Hi Jeronimo, trust you mother-in-law is safe and fine in her hotel. Its been one of the fiercest typhoons in HK in many years.

and looks like u know HK very well ! I was actually on the star ferry crossing the harbour when I took that pic. here is a pic of the Aqua Luna (which I have not been on actually, lol):

    Hi Shing,

    She's fine, thank you!

I always try to spend a few days in HK when on my way to or from Taiwan, I just love the place, and since I usually stay at Intercontinental, I see the Aqua Luna constantly passing in front of my window! By the way I also never felt the urge to go on it, but is a very nice sight. ;-)

That is a beautiful night shot! I always feel very happy to see your photos with great IWCs and HK background. What can be better...?

    Cheers!
