Support for collectors from IWC?

I recently found a Neo vintage watch I may purchase - however the hands aren’t original.

I contacted IWC to see if they had a set of hands in the event I purchased the watch and would send it to them to be fitted. 

Unfortunately they said they could only confirm if they had a set if I purchased the watch and sent it to them….which is disappointing.

I’m surprised at the response - any ideas how to improve/resolve things?

IWC can be strict about vintage parts. You could try contacting authorized service centers or specialized vintage IWC watchmakers—they sometimes have original hands or can source them. Posting clear photos, like you did, helps them give guidance.
