I loved IWC's new Mojave Desert chronograph when I saw it announced at SIHH.
The color scheme gave me the idea to swap straps on my Mark XVIII Miramar Top
Gun. I removed the olive colored strap and replaced it with this IWC sand
colored textile strap. I think the strap color goes will with the indices on
the dial. To complete the look I swapped out the titanium buckle with a glossy
black buckle to match the glossy black ceramic case.

That's a really nice match - good one!

I'm intrigued by the black ceramic buckle as it would also match the shiny
black case of the Mk XVIII Laureus too. Can it be ordered from IWC or was that
    a 3rd party piece?

I wonder how it would look with the CF3? Don't konw the specs and if it would
    fit.

Thanks Anthony. Yes, it was a generic 3rd party PVD buckle I had laying around
    in my
watch accessories box. I tried searching my purchase history but wasn't able
to pinpoint quite where I got it - sorry! Most of the PVD generic buckles are
large monstrosites that tend to be of a matte finish. This one is nice and
slim and is shiny to match the case. Good luck in your search. It'd look great
    on your watch.

Bill - The strap is 20mm at the lug and tapers to 18mm at the buckle, if that
    helps.

Thanks GGS - it really is a stunningly good combination with your Miramar! I
    love it.
