Love it! Thx for sharing, Arne. The blue sky is beautiful. And I also like the cut out cardinal points - so the dial seems to be very cleaned up. Best, -Christian
A stunning beauty and now one of my favourites like the BPP Z&C. I would love to see one but won't be in London until May (probably all sold by then). One can but dream :)
Hi, Paul! Excuse my bad explanation - What I wanted to say: the planes which usually show north and south had been omitted. So the dial seems very balanced. Best, -christian
Marian42, I can understand your point if view concerning the year Window. However, in practice it works fine. Try this : squint your eyes and look at the dial again - that year date window falls into the background. On my perpetual a no matter what color the dial - it works well in practice and foes not disturb or irritate.
Regulateur Quote "might even get me tempted". Might? - many enablers out here are thinking "you know you want it" ... I dare you - go ahead and show the loyalty :-) Don't keep yourself short - what would be your preferred number?
Ah, I see. I just looked at the different models, apart from this new one and the Petit Prince, all the Big Pilot Perpetual Calendars have a double moon, needing the indication of North and South, this moon has a technical look. The cushion moon indicator shows only the northern moon: it looks a bit classier, dressy and quiet.
In principle I am not a big fan of Perpetual Calendar on a BP, in my opinion the Perpetual Calendar fits better to a Portuguese (just a personal taste thing). But there are a few Perpetual BPs which I find really nice, despite above statement. The Z&C e.g. And this one for sure falls into this category as well.
Regulateur, why of course to yourself - to your feelings, inner emotions - hence my reference to "you know you want it" your appreciation of this watch. I know how tough it is to fight überviris :-) ...
Would you really be willing to give up your preferred number (of the 38) just to get it later for a nominaly less amount? (BTW - what would be your preferred number if the IWC Santa would deliver it to under your Christmass tree (of course, as a token of appreciation to your loyalty shown to the brand and our forum).
It is a fine model and the finer detail comes out well in the photos posted. My never owning a BP has never bothered me as previously I tried one and thought it looks ridiculous on my skinny wrist and now there's a BP PPC that looks as if the finer detail is all there for a watch at the price point and yet I still couldn't wear one and feel at ease. Shame.
