Is IWC doing anything to celebrate that this year? Certainly an opportunity.

oh yes, honoring him with a watch and expedition
There is a special Cousteau edition this year, which was announced earlier here and is primarily a boutique edition, and also IWC will be sponsoring a new Cousteau expedition.
It's easiest for me to give you the link to the Europastar page, which is below. That page, entitled "IWC Schaffhausen honours Jacques-Yves Cousteau on his 100th birthday", will give you and everyone all current details.

Michael
Thanks Michael
Wonderful idea to sponsor that expedition and the Aquatimer looks great!
Kind regards,
Clemens
Is there another link/source?
Hi Michael -
Glad to hear of it.
I'm afraid that when I try the link all I get is one of those pages saying that the page cannot be found because it has been removed or is broken. GGGrrrrrrrr.
I'd love to see the watch but IWC doesn't have a boutique in Providence and doesn't put pictures of the various special editions in the 'Collection' section of this site.
(I have something I'd like to send you, BTW. It even has a picture of Hannes Pantli on the front page - with hair that is not grey!)
Regards,
OCD
Maybe this one works...
I noticed there was a part in front of the link that needed to be removed.
Kind regards,
Clemens
YES! Thanks for that.
Much better.
Even more than the watch, I think another expedition to compare data to the original baseline will be very interesting. I'm a little nervous about what they are likely to find.
