With stock of a new arrival I thought I’d put together all the Ingenieurs including some from this year’s latest active collection:

    Shing,

Thanks for the summary and photos. The white Big Inge chrono looks great on your wrist.

By the way, do you have any trick to take photos in the Flagship? I tried to take some shoots of the Siderale yesterday at the Flagship with my new camera. But, the reflection from the watch surface was so serious. My shoots were not as sharp as yours.

That white dialed Ingenieur Chrono with the 89361 movement is a winner, I suddenly start to like it quite a bit. The white dialed Portofino Chrono is elegant, the Ingenieur is sturdy, heavy metal. Does it come on a bracelet too?

    Kind regards,
    Paul

    Hi Paul,

I believe the Big Inge 5005 bracelet would fit the Inge Chrono.

    Hi Shing or other forumers,

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Thank you Shing for some IRL pictures. I love the new chronos - the white dial looks amazing, and does the black with white subdials. I've only tried on the Ti Double Chronograph and to my surprise, it fit my wrist really well. I haven't tried the others yet, and should, but I fear my wallet will kill me. Haha.

    Hi guys,

@Felix -- interesting question. I am not a photographer and use the Auto setting on my Leica D-lux 5. I try to find a right spot* for a clear picture of the dial minimizing reflections. Not easy of late - I could be wrong but HK Flagship uses much yellow lighting (like many other dealers and boutiques of late - I think designed to accentuate the red and rose gold pieces) so finding a white light spot can prove a challenge -- certainly was the case during the Siderale sitting, and you will be able to tell later this week from the pics I took.

*Nad found a good spot next to the Yacht model at the Portuguese section, above the box of leather straps.

@Ken L -- the Titanium Ingenieur is a great piece, and I agree with you how well it fits - especially for me on my small wrist. The colour combination makes it look smaller, and for me its a classy sporty winner. The minute/hour hands get to me every time I wear it.

I find the white dial chrono Ing very special - from a far the white dial and texture comes across very strongly and creates quite a strong impression to me. Up close, the black hands/markers and white dial contrast keeps the dial interesting, and interestingly busy.

Great job, Shing. My favorite remains the now discontinued 3227, but the white dial time only and chronos both look amazing.

Shing, Thanks for the photos. I enjoyed them very much. Perhaps in March we will get to try some on when I visit Hong Kong. 1st week or March I believe is more concrete now.

Thanks for posting Shing; I think the white dial chrono looks very good, perhaps even better with brown straps.

Hi Stephen, the timing sounds good - and of course by then an entire new range of IWCs will also be at HK Flagship :)

Thanks for presenting the newest lineup...I was totally unaware of the white face Ingy in your photo. I like it!

    Totally agree.

This is based on my own opinion...

I've always believed that the classic IWC's that sell well or have iconic followings are the ones that are least cluttered from a design standpoint... Clean, legible and large masculine faces... (Portuguese Auto, the old aquatimers, Big Pilot, Mark 15 and 16, Portofino Moonphase) that exemplifies the identity and characteristics of IWC. The newer models are just too much with reference to colour usage, dial motifs, texts here and there... etc.

Keep the classic design DNA intact instead of overly refreshing the look with each product life cycle refresh... (Porsche and Apple do it so well... as with Rolex...) Its about subtle changes and not design overkill...

I hope some of you will see where I'm coming from...
