As announced earlier here this weekend was the right time for the trip to Vienna. Undercover with the Prater amusement park for the kids the plan was clear and unchanged: To visit the AD's in city center. Fortunately they are not far away from each other.

Thus we came on board of the hydrofoil boat in Bratislava port, two small families with one child each. Half of us equipped with the watch went directly for the group wrist shot:

Me, myself and I, a.k.a. my family :o) are here:

Last time we have traveled with another boat, which have had a big clock in the saloon:

[I remove photos older than 4 years, sorry.]

In this one it was replaced with air-conditioning. I must admit I liked that more :o) The weather was really hot and the untold pressure from our wives was present as well so we, the big boys, have willingly decided to collect some points and to take the kids with us. Which has resulted in the very short stops. Fortunately the kids behaved as they have found many interesting things for them as well. And the staff was everywhere very kind. Like when they went straight to the big clock movements at Wempe's or directly to the water wall at Wagner's leaving some water drops around :o) Here I wanted to try the Portuguese Yacht Club, which I have missed last time. I asked for it (without being more specific) and suddenly I was facing my favorite blue Laureus. Oh boy... It's such a beautiful watch:

[I remove photos older than 4 years, sorry.]

Unfortunately a little big for my small wrist :o(

[I remove photos older than 4 years, sorry.]

Another nice watch I have cought through the window only:

We have to minimize our stay to avoid the kids getting bored. I planned to try some of the new Aquatimers finally but couldn't make it. At least there is a reason to come back soon. We have skipped the Bucherer's at the corner and headed to what I guess must be the smallest IWC Boutique in the world. Correct me if I'm wrong, please. Thank you. Who was there, knows what I'm talking about.

And there I have finally met my match. The Spitfire Chrono on the metal bracelet:

One thing that has immediately fallen into my eye is that it seems larger than strapped with leather:

It's really not much, an optical illusion only, but the feeling is there. Here is the previous comparison shot once again:

Looks like I have got all the answers that I needed for the birthday decision making later on and staying calm and far from the trigger this time it was time to go. No, wait, I have ordered that very special strap for my Italian shall this one part with me in the future. Nice, I have another reason to come back soon ;o)

The big boys fun was over, the fun for the kids has started. They didn't wait too long and let the wild loose directly after that in the restaurant:

[I remove photos older than 4 years, sorry.]

Where the fathers had to follow. Or was it them who have started it ?? Hard to say... ;o)

[I remove photos older than 4 years, sorry.]

We have enjoyed the Wiener Schnitzel as I hope it should be:

[I remove photos older than 4 years, sorry.]

BTW, did you know that there is a venue like this in Vienna ? ;o)

[I remove photos older than 4 years, sorry.]

The last one from the center. "No watch, nur Kutsche" :o)

[I remove photos older than 4 years, sorry.]

After the fun in the Prater park

[I remove photos older than 4 years, sorry.]

We have gone on board of our boat again and let these two movements, oh no, truly engines this time :o) with 1200 HP each to bring us home:

[I remove photos older than 4 years, sorry.]

On the way while waiting at the water gate another Swiss Glory came to inspect the watch I guess. Or do the Swiss attract each other ?

[I remove photos older than 4 years, sorry.]

And finally some greetings from the Devin castle ruins:

I hope you have enjoyed this travel log. See you next time!

Excellent pictures mate. I don't think the yacht club looks too big for you, I think it looks great. Nice Inge too.

    Cheers,

    Dear Marian!
Seems you had a nice trip! It´s a pity we could not met but as I said I was out of town. Next time it will work.
A few things I want to tell you:
    1) You have a very nice Family
    2) The Laureus Yachtclub is not too big for your wrist - it fits you very well and looks great on you! But perhaps you should try the Laureus Portoguese Chronograph. I tried it (did you see the thread "sparkling Beauty"?) and I think it just would be (another) right one for you :-)
    3) The Wiener Schnitzel was perfectly how it should be
    4) The IWC Boutique is very small indeed :-)
    5) We have many other really crazy museums :-)
    Best,
    -christian

Christian, I have tried the Chrono Classic although not the Laureus one and the size is perfect for my wrist. But this time it seems I'm rolling on the runway for the pilot... :o)

I'll be in Vienna again to pick up the Italian Inge strap, so another chance for the GTG is hopefully not far enough. This time it was all too much in a hurry with the kids, trying to get them to Prater asap :o) I'll let you know.

Thank you for you kind comments, gentlemen, I'm glad you liked it.

Marian, to be curious just one question: why you don't go for the CF3 - it's a very special watch, it's limited, it stands for the forum, the price is nearly the same as the Spitfire and in addition it's antimagnetic ... ?
And when you come back to Vienna to pick up your strap?
    Best,
    Christian

Italian beauty! Viennese style! - excellent travelogue Marian, thanks for sharing.

The Laureus is indeed bluetiful- but for me, CF3 takes preference.
