It is not just now that IWC has watches for ladies in the collection.
At the end of the 19th century, IWC produced cal 63/64, the smaller versions of cal52/53 to fit into smaller cases, serving as ladies pocket watches.
Some examples had nice monograms, others are true pieces of art with paintings in enamel on the case.
Here are a few examples from the era that are part of my collection.
The one with the painting on the case is confirmed that it left the factory like that. The enamel decoration is mentioned in the books.
Two same pocketwatches were ordered by a dealer in 1895. The case is yellow gold with white gold flowers on it.
    Cases are around 34mm.
Are there here other members that can show ladies pocketwatches ?

    These are real gems, Tonny.
Especially the painted case is an eye catcher.
So, IWC was not always a men's watch company.

Indeed Tonny these smaller pocket watches are little gems - and absolute beauty to behold.

My first one that I added to my collection was a so called "Series 256" Sav. Cal. 64 (which is a 12 ligne movement) and cased in that Half Hunter case with the exquisite little window through which to tell the time without needing to click open the full cover.

My wife wears that piece from time to time around her neck on a long gold chain, and it never fails to draw attention and compliments.

Here's a picture of some of the more elaborate pieces (none of course as nice as that painted piece of yours Tonny) in my collection. The guilloche dials are amazing.

And for those thinking "that glass case back jobby is a marriage".... well you could not be more wrong (just as much as the good fellow I secured it from now probably wants it back) - but we were able to find back a picture in Schaffhausen of the that one and same glass case back watch in an original sales catalogue.

and of course the rear side of these piece sometime pleasantly surprise as well.

To help one understand just how "cute" (for lack of a better adjective here) these ladies pocket watches are, herewith the dimensions of the actual movement (with a diameter of only 26.5mm).

Also a side by side with a normal size IWC mens pocket watch of the same era.
