Hy everybody,
What makes IWC so special, so exciting for me? Not just the fantastic watches they manufacture today...but also the rich story the company can tell. The more i learned about IWC, the more i became interested in its earliest history, the time of F. A. Jones. I even had the chance to talk with Roger Nicholas Balsiger at Schloss Charlottenfels (ancestor of Heinrich Moser) about the time when Heinrich Moser (the industrial pioneer of Schaffhausen) influenced F. A. Jones to start his watch company next to the river rhine and about the era that was for Schaffhausen.
Fascinated of all that, i started looking for a Jones pocket watch. As i noticed, not the easiest thing today... Finally, after searching for quite some time, i found an all original silver Jones pocket watch with the high movement No. 24974 and grade S. It might be one of the last Jones pocket watches ever manufactured. (Does someone know a later No. of a Jones?) It is in its original case and was never polished or restored. The dial is also in great condition without a single hairline. It runs great for its age:)
