The Law of Attraction: GST AT 3536 - Episode 3

Maybe a tad off topic: as we have seen the forefather of the 3536 let's see
one of the offsprings here: the 3719, reaching back to the roots of the very
first Aquatimer from 1967 with the underglass turning bezel - the 3719 being
the ETA-Valjoux based day-date chronograph version in the steel execution, one
of my favourite watches ever, the possible "exit watch" if it would ever
happen. Same size and case design as the 3536, 120 m WR - that is more than
enough for most. A fantastic piece. Hopefully we'll see some time a reissue
with the 69xxx movement inside, without steroids resulting a larger case and
with an improved clasp with quick-micro-adjust feature of today's IWC clasps.

The intruder in the middle is most welcome. In fact it is THE Aquatimer!!

Congratulations! I love my 3536. I'm the fortunate owner of the titanium (-01)
version and it is one watch in my collection that I will never part with. With
the relatively short period of time that they were being made and sold, they
really did not produce that many GST AT's. It makes it a pretty exclusive
club. What I really appreciate about the 3536 is the legibility, comfort,
and light weight. It is simple and rugged yet beautiful. I never grow tired of
wearing/looking at it.

One of my holy grails is the 378201 - hope to find a nice condition piece some
time for an
appropriate price :)
