Winding down the summer this weekend at a friend's house on the coast in Maine. Brought the Collector's Forum Ingenieur (2005). Did some kayaking and biking this AM - now relaxing on the porch as the tide begins to go out...

Appreciating the dynamic colors of the dial and the Ardoise and the Blued-anti-glare coating on the crystal shift together in the light.

Hard to believe this watch will be 10 years old in a month or 2. Never serviced and still only 1-second fast per day.

Nice pics. Love that Ingenuier, such a classic. Just another on the list of wants.

It is really impressive how comfortable and easy it is to wear. I find myself wearing it more and more often.

Definitely one of my favorites. It rough and ready, but a bit of a ding magnet.

    Nice photographs, Richard.

I have been wearing my CFI recently, following a recent service. It has near perfect proportions and is very comfortable. A classic.

After 10 years this has already become an all time classic.
The movement was designed to be reliable, robust and easy to maintain.
Looks like IWC had done a magnificent job with it.

Oh, that is nice Ralph. Seeing Bill's and Your Inge photos here, with the crisp and clean cases, bezels and bracelets from the recent service make me think I should send it out - but I will likely wait a little longer...
