The perfect pairing: Portuguese Hand Wound with Santoni

Dear all,

As promised earlier last night, I am posting pictures now of the Hand Wound with a brand new dark brown Santoni strap. Apologies ahead for photo quality since these are only iphone photos.

I suppose my conclusion is quite obvious and the pictures should say it all.

1. The Hand Wound with the regular black strap. I've had it for close to 2 years so it is quite old already.

These IWC Santoni straps are really something special.

I found that the original black really brought out the silver but the Santoni leather brings deep patterns in its brown that really brings out the gold and white. It's really quite a different - but palatable - experience.

It is quite sad to hear that the two tone hand wound is not available anymore. Perhaps IWC will reintroduce this colour at a later date?

That looks great! I never seem to like black straps, and I love the way brown brings out the gold. Great choice!
