As the Plastiki is sailing already some days, I sent a mail to the organisation if it would be possible to start a communication between the boat and this forum.
I have got this answer ,"We would love to hear the questions that the IWC forum members may have, and we are currently looking at collating questions from our social network followers which we will send on to the crew so I would be happy to include a few from the IWC forum."
So If there are remarks, questions or opinions, please post them, I will sent them to the organisation so they can pass them to the crew on the Plastiki.

    Excellent idea Tonny

What happens to the boat after he trip, any other plans?

Any chance we can get the gear from their site and not only the model ship?

You also can communicate via Facebook

...when they refer to their social networks, primary among those are Facebook. Members there can become a fan of the Plastiki expedition, and receive regular news about the expedition, to which they can post comments.

    Questions

    • How does the Inge perform during daily wear and tear, are there pro's, and even con's? Topics may include accuracy, comfort, robustness.
    • Are there moments that the watch is put down, and why? Like, when sleeping, or during specific tasks.
    • One woman and a few men: how are they coping? Like, getting on each others nerves, and so on.
    • How does the crew think their action will influence the behaviour of perpetrators on polluting the seas? Any percentages as targets? Like in one year, in five years?

I am waiting for the Widget..

There will be a widget to keep track of the Plastiki, I hope it will arrive soon. When I look at the speed, they still have plenty of time though. I am a keen follower of the Volvo Ocean Race and the speeds can't be compared at all. I hope the crew has plenty of activities because it looks like it will be a long, long trip.

    Kind regards,

    Clemens
