Recently I could buy a ref 1875, the TV jumbo called. A true seventies style
    watch.

I knew of that model for some time but couldn't find a decent one.

The dial is made of two pieces, an outer ring in blue brushed material and an
inner dial in silver. Some ( like mine ) turned more to a gold color due to
    some oxidation.

Inside there is the famous automatic cal 8541B ticking.

Any others around who love the seventies ?

    Congratulations Tonny!

I love these 1970s TV dialed watches - from a truly interesting era.

Here's mine. I love this era. I had it overhauled about 15 years ago by IWC
Switzerland. It was pretty rough so they suggested, and did, replace the face,
hands, sapphire crystal, case top, all NOS parts. Kept the back and
movement(completely overhauled). It's hard to wear because it's basically it's
    a new watch......

Great pic Spearo...don't be shy if you have any more...it"s a watch that looks
equally bonny devoid of strap ( hint hint)

As I was born in the seventies there is a connection to watches from these
years. Here is a ref 1871 from 1972.
